Grief Counseling

Dear griever,

you have found this page because you are experiencing the profound heartache of loss and you wonder if grief counseling can help you cope. I sincerely hope this is a soft place for your heart to land. In grief counseling my primary goal is to hold space for you; to meet you where you are and provide a safe space for you to process your grief experience without feeling hurried along, or like you have to filter yourself in any way. I won't shy away from your grief. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there are no timelines or linear stages to move through such a significant loss. Many grievers benefit from talking about their loved one, and learning how to honor their loved one while also finding some footing, and eventually new meaning, in a life turned utterly upside down.

“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go” ~ Jamie Anderson
